Who we support

In 2019 the Marigold Co-operation emerged as a sustainable way to work with marginalised groups within Nepal. We purchase beautiful handmade goods made by people with disability, refugees and women in low income situations.

We then directly give back to some of the most vulnerable people in Nepal through our partners in Kathmandu.

The Marigold Co-Op contributes through the purchase of assistive aids such as crutches, wheelchairs, walking sticks and white canes to enable more physical freedom and participation within the community.

A significant focus for the Marigold Co-Op is providing funds for specialised vocational training for people with disability and providing seed funding for small business opportunities. In these ways, individuals will then be able to sustain a small business and contribute within their community, feeling valued and empowered. Both women and men may be trained in sewing, beadmaking, incense making and animal husbandry.

The Marigold Co-Op also aims to help young children attend school in their local communities to reach their full potential.
